Arun Mujumdar receives Special Award at 13th International Drying Symposium in Beijing,
China

At the 13th
International Drying Symposium (IDS) held in Beijing from 27 to 30 August 2002, Professor
AS Mujumdar was given a Special Award for his significant contribution to the development
of Drying Technologies in China. At the Symposium, the recent Chinese and Hungarian
translations of Prof Mujumdar's Guide to Industrial Drying were also displayed! An
article on his Plenary Paper appeared in the Chinese Chemical Industry Newspaper
(circulation 130,000; readership over a million - just from the chemical industry of
China!). Over 250 papers were presented at this meeting from some 40 countries. |

Drying 2002 documents the
proceedings of the 13th International Drying Symposium (IDS) held from 27 to 30 August
2002 in Beijing, China. Professor AS
Mujumdar is the Editor of the IDS Series.
The Chinese and Hungarian translations of Professor Mujumdar's well established
Guide to Industrial Drying have also recently been published. This Guide will also
be published in French, Turkish and Russian translations soon.
