Prof
Chou Siaw Kiang was elevated to the grade
of Fellow at the 2006 Winter Meeting of the American Society of Heating,
Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), which was held in
Chicago from 21 to 25 Jan 06. This is an honour accorded to less than 1%
of the 55,000 membership of ASHRAE. |

Prof
Arun Mujumdar was the Chief Guest at the
Inaugural Ceremony of the 4th Asia-Pacific Drying Conference (ADC05) in
Kolkata, India from 12 to 15 December 2005. He was also recently
appointed Consulting Editor of the Journal of Drying Technology and
Equipment (China), the International Journal of Post Harvest Technology
and Innovation (Switzerland) and the International Journal of Food
Engineering, USA. |

Prof B.C. Khoo is actively
involved in research in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Numerical
Methods. He is also currently Program Chair, HPCES (High Performance
Computation for Engineered Systems) Thrust of SMA (Singapore-MIT
Alliance) and has been an SMA Fellow since 1999. |

Prof Shu Chang works in the
areas of Computational Mathematics and Fluid Dynamics. He is currently
an Associate Editor of Computers, Materials & Continua. Besides
his many journal publications, he is the author of the book,
'Differential Quadrature and Its Application in Engineering', London,
Springer-Verlag, 2000. |

Dr Quan Chenggen for his recent promotion to
Associate Professor.

Dr Quan is a faculty
member in the Applied Mechanics Group in the Department of Mechanical
Engineering. His current research includes work in Optical NDT,
MEMS, Fringe Analysis, Image Processing, 3-D deformation measurement of
MEMS materials and structures using optical techniques. |
