Professor S.K. Chou presented the Fellowship award by Mr Lee Burgett, President of ASHRAE during the ASHRAE 2006 Winter Meeting in Chicago.

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) elevated Professor S.K. Chou to the grade of Fellow at the Society's 2006 Winter Meeting ASHRAE 2006 Winter Meeting in Chicago from 21 to 25 Jan 06.  This is an honour accorded to less than 1% of the 55,000 membership of ASHRAE. 

The Fellow grade of ASHRAE is a membership grade that recognizes distinction in the arts and sciences of heating, ventilating, air conditioning or refrigeration and is earned through achievement as a researcher, designer, educator or engineering executive.   

While actively pursuing Energy-related research, Prof Chou is also serving as Vice-Dean, External and Industry Relations, Faculty of Engineering as well as Head, Energy and Bio-Thermal Systems Group of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.  He was Head of the Department from April 1998 to December 2003.
