Dr S.C.Luo received a Colombo Plan Scholarship in 1974, and graduated with a B.Eng.(Hons) from the U. Melbourne in 1978. He joined NUS as a Senior Tutor in 1981, and obtained his M.Eng. in 1983, and his PhD (U.London) and DIC (Imperial College)in 1985. He is presently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. His main research interest is in the area of Aerodynmics. To date he had supervised 9 M.Eng and 7 PhD students, and had received 7 Teaching related awards.
