This is an advanced course for Microsystems Technology. Students are taught to apply the lessons learnt from the prerequisite modules onto microsensors and microactuators.

- Principles behind the various types of microsensors and microactuators;
- Introduction;
- Mechanical sensors and actuators;
- Optical sensors and actuators;
- Thermal sensors and actuators;
- Magnetic sensors and actuators;
- Chemical and biological transducers.
This is a core module for students on MST specialisation.
